Victory Formation; Another Unwritten Rule

Dear Giants Fans: Shut the fuck up already.  Seriously.

On Sunday’s game, the Bucs crashed the line during the last few seconds of the game, knocking Eli Manning on his ass and pushing the offensive line back a few yards.  Of course out came the “unwritten rule” books and now everyone is all a flutter with people arguing about the game being “essentially over.”

First of all, there’s no clear definition of essentially over.  As the Giants well-know, there was a time nearly two years ago when they had a game against the Eagles that was “essentially over.”  Remember that one?

And with all due respect to people asking what Schiano was hoping his team would accomplish… Well…  Schiano’s teams have forced turnovers in those situations twice.

I’m tired of unwritten rules.  You can’t do this, you can’t do that, you can’t do this, you can’t do that.  Why?  It’s an unwritten rule.

How about this.  How about you play the game by the written rules and stop adding “unwritten rules” and yelling about them when you feel you’ve had them violated against you?
