Let’s put this in perspective.  GM was saved because losing 202,000 jobs (their entire workforce) if the company went under was considered disastrous for the economy.

How is losing 800,000 people and the taxes they pay not devastating for the economy?

Oh right; those 800,000 people probably aren’t campaign contributing union members.  Got it.
